  1. Log Files

When you access and use our web page, your Internet browser automatically collects a range of general data (so-called log data) and transmits it to our web server. The log data are stored in the log files on our server.

The following data can be collected among others:

  • Browser type used and version

  • Operating system used

  • Equipment category

  • Display resolution

  • Internet Protocol Address (IP address) or abbreviated IP address

  • Country

  • Language settings

  • Web page via which you reached our web page (so-called referrer)

  • Date and time of access

  • Duration of access

The log data do not contain any personal data, and when we use these general data we do not draw any conclusions as to your identity. Instead we need this information so that we can:

  • Display the content of our web page correctly,

  • Optimise the content of our web page and the advertising for it,

  • Guarantee the permanent functionality of our IT systems and the technology of our web page, and

  • Provide the necessary information to the law enforcement authorities in the event of a cyber attack.

The anonymously collected data are also evaluated for statistical purposes. They are stored separately from all the other personal data you have provided to us when using our offerings (e.g. registration, subscribing to the newsletter).

  1. Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar) when you visit our website. This enables us to obtain certain data such as IP address, browser used and operating system.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. We can use the information contained in cookies to make navigation easier for you and to enable our web pages to be displayed correctly.

Of course, you can always view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. In general, you can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via the settings of your browser. Please use the help functions of your Internet browser to find out how to change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

You can delete individual cookies or the entire cookie inventory via your browser settings. Depending on the provider of your browser, you will find the necessary information under the following links:

  1. Newsletter

On our website you have the option to subscribe to our newsletter. For this we require your e-mail address and name (first name and last name).

During the registration process, we will obtain your consent to the processing of your personal data and will refer to this Data Privacy Notice. The legal basis for processing your data for the purpose of sending you the newsletter is therefore Article 6 Para. 1 (a) GDPR.

6.1 Content of the Newsletter

Interested persons can only receive our company newsletter if they

  • have registered to be sent the newsletter.

6.3 Use of data

The personal data collected during registration for the newsletter are used exclusively for the purpose of sending you our newsletter. In addition, in the interest of newsletter subscribers we reserve the right to inform them by email of any changes concerning the sending of the newsletter. This would be the case, for example, if there was a change to the newsletter offering or a change to the technical parameters related to sending the newsletter.

6.4 Cancellation

The subscription to our newsletter can be terminated at any time. At the same time as terminating the newsletter subscription, you also withdraw your consent to the storage, processing and use of your personal data for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. This withdrawal has future effect and has no influence over the lawfulness of the processing activities undertaken prior to your retraction (previously sent newsletters).

There are several options available to you for terminating your newsletter subscription. Firstly you can unsubscribe using the link at the end of every newsletter or by sending an email to marketing@wallsec.de.

6.5 Newsletter tracking

The WALLSEC newsletters contain tracking pixels and tracking links. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic embedded in emails sent in HTML format. Tracking pixels record a log file, and in this way enable the log data to be analysed.

We can use the embedded tracking pixels and tracking links to identify whether and when you have opened an email and which of the links contained in the email you have accessed. By means of this information we can statistically evaluate our online marketing campaigns and measure their success or failure.

The basis for the statistical evaluation and analysis of the behaviour of recipients of our newsletter is our legitimate interest in continuously improving the sending of our newsletter and adjusting the newsletter content in line with the interests of our newsletter recipients. This includes the creation and evaluation of anonymised recipient profiles. The corresponding legal basis for this is Article 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR.

The information collected is processed and stored by our service provider MOOSEND, a British company, whose servers are exclusively located within the EU/EEA (The Netherlands).

You can object to the newsletter tracking at any time with future effect by unsubscribing from the newsletter. There are several options available to you for this. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link at the end of every newsletter, or you can unsubscribe from the newsletter by sending us an email to marketing@wallsec.de.

These third parties may include external third party service providers (such as support and hosting service providers, banks and financial institutions that service our accounts, and other third party vendors and outsourced service providers that assist us in carrying out our business activities).

In the event that our business is sold or integrated with another business, your data will be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchaser’s adviser and will be passed to the new owners of the business (subject to the applicable laws). In such a case WALLSEC will strive for the greatest possible protection of the data.

  1. Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA (hereafter: "Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on these websites, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.

Google stores your data as user profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide need-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have a right of objection to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right.

We do not collect any personal data through the integration of Google Maps.

Google processes your data in the USA and participates in the EU_US Privacy Shield https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour.

For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by YouTube, please refer to the provider's privacy policy, where you will also find further information on your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). The legal basis for the integration of YouTube and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR)

Visiting the YouTube website automatically triggers a connection to Google.

If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad Program, you will not have to reckon with any such cookies even when watching YouTube videos. YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block cookies from being stored in your browser.

Further information on data protection at "YouTube" can be found in the provider's privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
